I create my jewelry in 18K and 22K gold with a strong emphasis on both form and texture. I am drawn to the strength and boldness of inorganic formations and to architectural structures; elements from both influence much of my work. Giving particular attention to the integration of all the elements within each piece, I strive to design jewelry that is dynamic yet wearable.

My work is handcrafted in high karat gold with traditional metal-smithing techniques. Some pieces I build as models which I can replicate. These are either carved in wax or fabricated in sterling silver. The piece is then molded and cast into gold before I set the stones and finish the final piece. Other designs are fabricated directly in gold, generally 22K, where I can alter the design as I proceed. Both approaches have their own challenges and are equally rewarding.

Over the years, my work has been exhibited in galleries and shows throughout the country and has been featured in books and other publications showcasing contemporary jewelry design. In 2009, I began offering classes in jewelry-making to small groups of students in my studio and have found this divergence from my generally solitary work environment both fun and tremendously satisfying.
