For over 40 years, I have used jewelry to visually describe life’s joy and romance. My pieces are angular and strong reflecting a deep familiarity with my materials. Starting with blackboard sketching, I enjoy developing new concepts and watching them metamorphose through metal manipulation, fabrication, casting, and stone carving and inlay. I create the feeling by guiding the materials to their natural forms, with special attention to detail and precise craftsmanship. At my studio in Charlottesville, Virginia, I combine exquisite semi-precious stones, gemstones, conflict-free diamonds, and recycled gold in contemporary designs that have won numerous awards at professional craft shows.
